Where to buy tylenol 1 with codeine Cheapest genuine viagra uk Such clinical observations on the parallels between visual perception and visual imagery go back at least a century. In 1911, the English neurologists Henry Head and Gordon Holmes examined a number of patients with subtle damage to the occipital lobesdamage that led not to total blindness but to blind spots within the visual field. They found, by questioning their patients carefully, that blind spots in exactly the same locations occurred in the patients mental imagery as well. And in 1992, Martha Farah et al. reported that in a patient who lost partial vision on one side due to an occipital lobectomy, the visual angle of his minds eye was also reduced, in a way that perfectly matched his perceptual loss. THE FOUNDATION

1 Peter 3:1 – 9.

One of the purposes of K.I.S.S.is to stimulate us to wholesome thinking. Peter said,

2 Peter 3:1, 2. “Dear friends, this is now my second letter to you. I have written both of them to stimulate to wholesome thinking. I want you to recall the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets and the command given by our Lord and Savior through your apostles.”

The default mechanism in our memory chips is “stinking thinking.” Without the renewing of our minds to the place where the mind of Christ is operating, we generally prefer to think the worst of everything and everybody. Peter goes on and describes some of this thinking:

2 Peter 3:3,4. First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.”

Scoff, scoff, scoff. “You people have been saying Jesus is coming soon ever since the time He went away two thousand years ago.” “Oh sure, He could come at any moment. Just like last year, or the year before, or any of the thousands of years you’ve been saying it.” Scoff, scoff.  Peter continues,

2 Peter 3:5-7. “But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and with water. By water also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the Day of Judgment and destruction of ungodly men.”

They deliberately forget. Do not deliberately forget anything. Do not play stupid or you may get stuck on stupid. “Oh, I never knew that.”  Yes you did! Stop denying it.  Now listen as Peter continues

“But do not forget this one thing, dear friends:”

This ONE THING. Please get this one thing. It will clarify much of what is going on, and what will be happening soon. This one thing makes crystal clear when the “last days” began, and what is THE last day. Keep it simple. Okay, here’s Peter again:

2 Peter 3:8,9. “But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promises, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”

God loves everybody. Jesus died for all, with no exceptions. He wants everyone to come to repentance. He wants to give mercy and eternal life to each and every person on earth. This realization that God is loving and good is crucial to this booklet and everything else. Paint it over all your life experiences no matter how you have interpreted them in the past. “God (Yahweh) is a good God. God is love.

Okay, back to the one thing. One day is like a thousand years, and one thousand years (a millennium) is like one day. Moses inferred the same thing when he said in Psalm 90:4 “For a thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by,”

Seven days of creation correspond to seven millenniums of human, biblical history. Each of the days of creation is like each of the millennium days. They fit like a hand to a glove. Keep it simple.

Day one – light and dark.                 Millennium one – life and death.

Day two – water.                               Millennium two – flood.

Day three – land.                             Millennium three - land of Israel.

Day four – sun and moon.                Millennium four- Solomon’s Temple and                                                                            Herod’s Temple,

Day five – birds and fish.                  Millennium five – good news to Gentiles.

Day six – man.                                Millennium six – man, man, man.

Day seven – rest.                            Millennium seven – rest.

USSHER’S CHRONOLOGY

James Ussher was a seventeenth century Archbishop of the Church of Armagh in Ireland.  His chronology has stood the test of time more than many others, and is from a literal reading of the Bible. The reference dates in my favorite study Bible (Thompson Chain Reference) are Ussher’s. However, regarding the dating system, Thompson Chain includes the following disclaimer:

“Note - There is no generally accepted system of Bible chronology. The dates given are according to Ussher, but they are used only as a working basis and are not regarded as completely accurate.”

We Christians are really good at arguing and telling why this or that cannot be. We need to keep it simple. For our purposes Usshers chronology will serve just fine.  The following dates are significant and helpful for delineating the millenniums:

            4004 BC             The creation.

            2349 – 2348 BC The flood.

1921 BC             The call of Abraham.

            1491 BC             The Exodus

1012 BC              Founding of the Temple in Jerusalem.

4 BC                    The birth of Christ.
